Lost-Wax Casting
Lost-Wax Casting of Glass and Bronze - and other Kiln Applications
Bronze Casting
Using the lost-wax process, this bronze work was done under the guidance of master bronze sculptor, Frank Watson, in his workshop.
The egg is two thirds hollow, with bronze filling the bottom third when the egg is on an angle. This gives it a pleasurable rocking motion.
Glass Fusing
This abstract Pohutukawa cliff scene was laid out with shards of glass cut specifically for the project and fused in a kiln.
Glass Casting
Various castings have been done using the lost-wax method (full mould and open-cast).
