Music and Sound Creation with Ableton Live Software and Eurorack Modular Synthesizer Hardware

Eurorack Synthesizer

Analogue and Digital audio synthesis, filtering, envelopes, and sequencing. Integrated to Ableton via MIDI. Audio interfaces are Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and Expert Sleepers ES-9 (DC-coupled) interface. Most modules have been designed and made by myself, although there are also some must-have modules in the rack, such as:

MATHS (Make Noise)
Dual FX (Erica Synths)
Plaits (Mutable Instruments)

With optional routing via a Mooer Ocean Machine.

Digital Music Creation

My music is made mostly with Ableton Live and Audacity (and MuseScore when musical engraving is required). I've had lessons in using Ableton and music theory - covering a myriad of musical styles - for over a decade. Unique analogue sounds generated by the Eurorack are sampled and included.

Generative Sequences

I write software (usually C#) that creates generative audio sequences. One example is the generation of Dragon Curves (pictured), using the position along each curve (polar or rectangular) as pitch/velocity/filter information output to a MIDI file. Another one is a multi-celestial-body gravity simulation (written from first principles) that uses the position of the interacting massive objects to convert to audio information. These algorithmic outputs can produce very interesting sequences and inspiration.

Real-World Interaction

Interacting with the world using sensors, microphones, and transducers - analogue sounds and MIDI note information can be recorded. In addition, slow manipulation of note quality (such as filter cutoff frequency or level) can be made.
